What is the CTET?

CTET (Central Teaching Eligibility Test) exam introduced by The Government of India in 2011 to certify eligibility of candidates to be appointed as teachers in various Primary and Upper Primary level. Which is a country level entrance exam. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Delhi organized the CTET examination to recruit skilled teachers for primary level (Classes I-V) and upper primary level (Classes VI-VIII) schools. CBSE conduct CTET Exam twice in a year. CBSE invites ctet form online for aspiring candidates to appear in CTET 2019 for December Session. CTET exam will be held in 20 languages in 97 cities across the country. CTET 2019 December Exam will be held on December 8, 2019.CTET certificate is the minimum eligibility qualification for the candidates who intends to teach in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya NVS Army Teacher, ERDO, etc. After qualifying the ctet exam the candidates gets the certificate and they are eligible to apply for teacher vacancies released by different government schools and private schools etc.

How much fees deposit in ctet?

A aspiring candidates belonging to either General or OBC category is required to pay Rs. 700/- (if applying for either Paper I or Paper II) and Rs. 1200/- (if applying for both the papers). Candidates belonging to SC/ST category is required to pay Rs. 350/- (if applying for either Paper I or Paper II) and Rs. 600/- (if applying for both the papers)

What is the eligibility criteria for ctet exam?

Aspiring Aspirants are required to check CTET Eligibility before applying for the exam. Let’s look at the Educational Qualification Required by Candidates for both these sections:

CTET Eligibility for Paper I

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.<OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education).OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)OR

CTET Eligibility for Paper II

  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed) OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education) OR
What is the pattern of ctet exam?

CTET exam consists of 2 papers – Paper 1 (Primary Level) and Paper 2 (Elementary Level)

  • Paper I is conducted for candidates who aspire to become teacher for Class I to V.
  • Paper II is conducted for candidates who aspire to become teacher for Class VI to VIII.

Filling the CTET Application Form 2019

STEP1: Log on to CTET official website www.ctet.nic.in.
STEP2: Go to the link “Apply Online” and open the same.
STEP3: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down Registration No./Application No.
STEP4: Upload Scanned Images of latest Photograph and Signature
STEP5: Pay Examination Fee by e-challan or debit/credit card
STEP6: Print Confirmation page for record and future reference.
